Maharaj Rana of Dholpur Sir Bhagwant Singh - 1870 Bhagwant Singh succeeded his father, Kirat Singh the first Maharaj rana of Dholpur, in 1836 continuing to govern under British protection. In 1869 Bhagwant was created a Grand Commander of the Star of India for his loyalty during the Uprising of 1857. He was succeeded in 1873 by his grandson Nihal Singh.

Heading an army of 15,000 troops, he fought several hard battles and aided the British in their campaigns around Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

Nawab Muhammad Yusef Ali Khan was Nawab of Rampur. He rendered many useful services to the Government of India by keeping the British supply and communication lines to Naini Tal open, rescuing fugitives and securing the town of Moradabad. For his service, he was granted extensive lands in Bareilly by the Viceroy of India, Lord Canning, was knighted in 1861 and given a 13-gun salute along with the style of His Highness. Finally, he was made a member of the Viceroy's Council.
Takht Singh (r.1843–1873), Maharaja of Jodhpur, served the British at the time of Indian Mutiny of 1857 & in 1862 he received a sanad of adoption. During his life he was a chronic womanizer.;He married 30 wives. He died in Jodhpur on 13 February 1873 and was cremated at Mandore.
